Danish-born photographer Signe Birck specializes in culinary photography of all kind. Food, interior, and people. Signe has been active in the industry for more than 15 years, starting out as an assistant and trainee, which lead to a degree in commercial photography from Media College Denmark in 2007.
Upon graduation, Signe worked as a full time retoucher. A change of location and the acceptance of a food photographer position in Copenhagen, Denmark, laid the foundation for a thriving career within the upscale epicurean realm.
In spring of 2012 Signe moved to NYC, where she is working with some of the best chefs, restaurants, and food professionals in the city and beyond. Her work is internationally acclaimed and has been praised in countless media such as Food & Wine Magazine, The Art Of Plating, and Buzzfeed. In 2016 she hosted the food photography workshop at the annual StarChefs Conference.
Signe is an image creator to the core. She possesses a unique mix of dedication, experience, Scandinavian aesthetic, and Brooklyn sass, which provides just the right amount of edge to handle whichever assignments come her way. Her photography is featured in cookbooks, advertising, magazine editorials, and print/online media.
